Nutrition Tip

Although fruit has beneficial antioxidant properties, it is not necessarily great for weight loss due to its high sugar content.

Even though fruit contains natural sugar, this sugar can still store as body fat if consumed in excess.

For example: 1 raw pomegranate= 39g of sugar; 1 Snickers bar= 30 g of sugar.

In weight loss, sugar is sugar. Maintain level blood sugars to help control hunger and promote weight loss. Focus on maintaining your blood sugars by consuming foods that do not drastically affect them: proteins, non-starchy vegetables, and healthy fats.
