BMI Calculator
What does your BMI mean?
BMI, or body mass index, is a system of measurement that helps a patient figure out how overweight he or she is. A BMI of 20 to 25 is considered normal. 25 to 30 is considered overweight. 30.1 to 34.9 is considered obese. You are a candidate for weight loss surgery if your BMI is 40 or greater or if you have a BMI between 35 and 39.9 along with a serious health problem.
"I thought I was a pretty happy fat person. Hiding behind my jokes and laughter, I did not know how much my weight controlled my life. I never knew what true happiness was until I had my surgery. Some people don't like to tell people when they have had weight loss surgery but I tell everyone because I feel everyone deserves to be this happy!"

When insurance won’t pay, we can still help! Live Life Again Center for Bariatric Surgery has self pay options that may work for you. For our patients who do not have insurance, do not meet medical necessity requirements set by their insurance, or have an exclusion on their insurance policy, we have developed a discounted surgery package price. If you need a payment plan, we have partnered with medical financing lenders to offer you an easy way to finance your surgery for up to seven years with payments as low as $200.00 per month.
This price includes the following:
We offer two different programs that you can take advantage of:
Self Pay — Whether you would like to pay cash, use a credit card, use your 401K, health flex savings account (HFSA), stocks, bonds, or investment funds to pay for the Lap Band, you will be saving money in the long run. By eliminating or improving your co-morbid health conditions after surgery you will reduce your out of pocket cost of medications, doctor visits, time off of work for illness or injury, and increased prices for plus size clothing. There are also tax deductions available that your CPA can discuss with you.
Financing — We have partnered with medical financial lending institutions that offer competitive interest rates, online or mail in applications, quick approval process, and terms up to seven years. You can apply online or by phone with the following lenders:
Please contact the Live Life Again Center for Bariatric Surgery to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about our self pay programs. We have financial counselors available to assist you. We look forward to working closely with you to help you on your journey to a healthier life!
